My Reiki Beliefs

a) There are no rules in Reiki

Reiki is a universal concept. The 5 principles are our guidelines to use. These guidelines are so open and encompassing. They look and seem so simple, but they are so difficult to implement everyday and at every moment. The difficulty arises in our not being conscious of what we are doing and in not understanding or accepting the simplicity of the 5 principles.Rules are limiting. Rules are created by us - humans - with our limited perception and limited consciousness. When in doubt - ask Reiki. Doing Reiki on my problems and doubts has given me the answers and this has given me tremendous clarity about Reiki and my confidence in it. I have immense faith in Reiki because of its open nature - of its nature to let me explore it the way I would, at the pace that I would want to. This openness brings calm and is in sync with the 5 principles.

b) There is no difference in distance healing and In person healing

I have used and continue to use the distance healing mode in person healing sessions too. I have seen that there is no difference in the results. This is due to the faith that Reiki energy knows where it needs to go and I am only the medium. I use the 'touch therapy' - only if the patient has the conditioning that he/she will feel better, faster. Touch therapy to break the patients mind filter only.

c) Intention and Satisfaction are the most important ingredients in healing

c1) I have tremendous respect for all healing modalities. I am blessed to work with Reiki. I have experienced that when my intention is pure, the satisfaction is greater. If my intention is to 'show' someone how I do it (I had done this about a year ago), I realized that I did not feel good about it. But when my intention is to heal and only heal (i.e. there is no ego interference), then I am a pure channel and the healing happens to a greater satisfaction

c2) Satisfaction is the answer to ' session time '. I used to wonder how long a session should take. Then I realized my question was wrong. There are no rules in Reiki and hence there are no shoulds. So how does one know that the session is over? I realized that my healing session ended when I was satisfied. The satisfaction came from the fact that I have been a medium and I have been a good medium by not letting my ego interfere and the energy 'made me satisfied' so that I could now stop. So there are 15 minute sessions and 150 minute sessions too. What matters is our intention and satisfaction

d) Our outer world reflects our inner world

This I have learnt from practicing Sri Aurobindo's Integral Yoga. Whenever I dislike someone, I go back home and think, what it in me that I dislike that is I have disliked someone else. I also apply the same rule to a situation when someone dislikes me. If our outer world is disintegrated, it means that our inner world needs integration.

e) When in doubt - Do reiki, Trust Reiki

I have used Reiki for everything. I have used it in all situations of doubt, self doubt, doubting others, doubting situations. I have used it for guidance. In business, in personal relationships, in home management, home improvement, everyday mundane activities like finding routes, rickshaws, reiki on water when mineral water is not available, Reiki symbols for my home, Reiki to find a good cook, Reiki to find my career path. This has entrenched a belief system that I need not ask answers from others. I have been given a pillar, a magic wand - I need to use it continuously and it will always help me find whats best for me.

Initially, I used to think, I know what is best for me and I will use Reiki to find this. Today, it is Reiki knows what is best for me and I will use to help me find the path.

f) Reiki is Rational

I believe that there are different hierarchies of mind - Sri Aurobindo's teachings. If I find something irrational, I used to think this is irrational Haw Haw haw. Then it struck me, how can I be so arrogant? Could it not be that I am not developed to understand the rationality behind it? Then it hit me. Bounded Rationality is all about being bound by pride. Rationality is like climbing a mountain. To go higher, we need to let go of BOTH our feet and trust the shoulder. Once we reach a step higher, we repeat the same thing. This is similar to believing in Reiki. Till we start trusting it, we cannot use it and once we use it - we can’t stop using it..:)

g) Reiki helps us do all other modalities

Reiki helps us understand past lives, this life, alter embedded patterns in the sub conscious mind etc.

h) Gurus help us go beyond our limitations

I felt the need for one. and I got 2..:) To discuss progress. To keep myself motivated. To understand the openness of Reiki the way they do and move beyond my limitations.

i) Reiki is the best education I have received and it is the best education anyone can ever receive.
